Instagram has introduced the ‘Quiet Mode’ feature.
Photo and video-sharing app Instagram has introduced a
new ‘Quiet Mode’ feature to combat smartphone addiction and reduce
notifications.
This feature of Meta’s sub-application silences
notifications and sends auto-replies in Direct Messages (DMs).
The company has also introduced an ‘In Quiet Mode’ status
that is visible under the Instagram profile name so that other users can see
it.
In the first phase, the quiet mode feature has been
released for users in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand,
while the feature will be introduced in other countries soon.
