Introduction
to Islam:

What
is Islam?

T

he
word “Islam” means in the Arabic dictionary books: Obedience,
humility, peace, reconciliation, submission, respect, and submission.
Similarly, the source of Islam comes in the Qur’an in the sense of
“obedience”.

What
is faith?

Faith
is that you believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Day of
Resurrection, and belief in good and bad destiny. The main fundamental belief
of Islam is to believe in Allah.

The
basis of belief is Monotheism, that is, believing in one God, and for this Monotheism
(Belief in Tawheed means believing in one God), Allah Almighty sent prophets
everywhere. Even the last of the Messengers, Muhammad PBUH, was resurrected.
For the teaching and understanding of the doctrine of Tawheed, where the Holy
Prophet and his Companions made many sacrifices and endured hardships. In this
regard, Islamic scholars have also made their importance very clear in their
writings and speeches.

Q:
What is the definition of a Muslim?

A:
He is a Muslim who believes in the religion brought by the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him). In Islam, matters whose entry is certainly
proven and well-known to the general and special people are called the
“requirements of the religion.” Anyone who denies or interprets any
of these “religious requirements” is called a non-Muslim.

The
Basic Fundamentals of Islam are as follows:

1-
Believing in the Oneness of Allah Almighty.

2-
Belief in the messengers of Allah

and
that the last of them is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

3-
Believing in all the heavenly books, which contain the last Qur’an.

4-
To believe in the Day of Judgment.

5-
Believing in the angels of Allah Almighty.

The
Basic Fundamentals of Islam are in detail:

1: The
Oneness of Allah Almighty:

Believing
in Allah Almighty means believing that Allah Almighty is one in essence and
attributes. He is free from all imperfections and defects in His existence and His
attributes. He is endowed with all perfections, intentions, and wills of the
universe. He is submissive, everyone needs him, he does not need anyone, all
the affairs of the universe are in his possession, he has no partner. Holy
Quran stated:

1:
Say (O Muhammad PBUH, “He is Allah, (the) One.

2:
[Allah-the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats
nor drinks)].

3:
He begets not, nor was He begotten.

4:
And there is none co-equal or comparable to Him.

(Chapter:
112:1-4).

2-
Belief in the Angels:

The
belief in angels is that angels are a permanent light creature of Allah
Almighty, they do not disobey Allah Almighty, but they carry out whatever
command is given to them and the work that Allah Almighty has ordained for
them. All those angels do not neglect the command of Allah even for a moment.

3-
Belief in the Messengers:

Belief
in the Messengers means that Allah Almighty has chosen some of His chosen
people to guide His servants and to make them aware of the acts of His pleasure
and displeasure. They are called Messengers and Prophets. The news of Allah
Almighty reaches human beings only through the Messengers. The first Prophet
was Adam (peace be upon him) and the last Prophet is Muhammad (peace be upon
him). After the Prophet Muhammad, no one will receive prophethood until the Day
of Resurrection. Rather, the religion you have brought will last till the Day
of Resurrection.

4-
Belief in the Books:

Belief
in the heavenly books means that Allah Almighty, through His prophets, bestowed
many heavenly guides for the guidance of His servants, four of which are the
most famous: the Torah which was revealed to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)
The Injil (Gospel) which was revealed to Jesus (peace be upon him) and the Holy
Quran which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This
is the last guidance that was sent to the servants by Allah Almighty. Now all
human beings must follow it and in it is the salvation and goodness of all
humanity, whoever turns away from this last book of Allah Almighty. He will
fail.

5:
Belief or Faith on the Day of Judgment:

Belief
in the resurrection means that there will come a time when the whole world will
end. The heavens and the earth will perish, then Allah will resurrect them all,
and the people in this world who have done good or bad deeds. Everyone will be
held accountable. The scales of justice will be set and the good and bad of
every person will be weighed in it.

The
scale of Day of Judgement:

The
scale of a person’s good deeds will be heavy. He will have the pleasure of
Allah Almighty and he will be in the place of Allah’s pleasure and nearness
forever. Which is called “Paradise”, and the scale of a person’s
evils will be heavy. He will receive the wrath of Allah Almighty and he will be
arrested and punished in the divine prison called “Hell”, and the
unbelievers will live in Hell forever.

Someone
in the world who has wronged another person. He may have taken bribes, eaten
his property unjustly, abused him, or disgraced him. He will be called to
account on the Day of Resurrection, and the wrongdoer will be recompensed for
his wrongdoing. The Day of Judgment of Allah is called
“Resurrection”. In which the doers of good and evil will be equally
rewarded, each person will have to give an account of his whole life, and no
human being will be wronged in the least.

6:
Belief in good and bad destiny:

Believing
in good and bad destiny” means that this factory of the world is not
running by itself, but by the One Allah Almighty. The pleasant or unpleasant
events that take place in this universe are all due to His will and power and
wisdom. All the conditions of every particle of the universe are in the
knowledge of this knower and knower, and before the creation of the universe,
Allah Almighty had written down all the conditions that were to take place in
the “Preserved Tablet”.

Everything
that is happening in this universe is happening according to the same eternal
knowledge. He is also dealing with His power and will. The purpose is that the
system of the universe which Allah Almighty had proposed from the beginning,
this universe is running according to this fixed system.

Allah
wrote all the conditions that were going to happen, in the book, “Al-Lauh
Al-Mahfuz” [divine tablet in which recording all mankind’s doings
((Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet) Qur’an chapter:
85:22)].

[O
you who believes! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and
regulations of the Islamic religion and follow not the steps of Satan. Verily,
he is to you a plain enemy. (Chapter: 2:208)].

The
Islamic Way of Life:

The
religion of Islam refers to the system of life, which is based on the commands
of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH). Besides, it meets the requirements of every
aspect of human life. It contains guidance and guides on every aspect of life,
from the individual level to the general and international level. As in the
Holy Qur’an.

[(But
if they incline to peace, you (also) incline to it, and (put your) trust in
Allah.

Verily,
He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. (Chapter: 8:61)].

As
in the Qur’an: [(Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam (Chapter: 3:19)].

As
stated in another place in Qur’an:

[I
have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have
chosen for you Islam as your religion. (Chapter, 5:3)].

Islam
is a peace-loving religion, which encourages gentle treatment not only with
humans but also with animals. Look at the beauty of this great religion, Islam
is the word “peace” and faith “harmony” and its name is a
clear indication for teaching us peace and security and respect for humanity.

Conclusion:

Islam
is not the name of any nation and caste community that every person born in it
is Muslim of itself and has nothing to do with becoming a Muslim. Islam is the
name of this religion, the way of life the true Messenger of Allah brought that
about, and which has been explained in the Qur’an and the hadiths of the
Prophet (PBUH). One should adopt this religion and follow this method, and then
he is a real Muslim.

Q:
We have heard that in the end, Allah Almighty will bring out from Hell every
person who has faith in his heart equal to a mustard seed?

A: Faith
is a condition for eternal salvation because disbelief and polytheism will
never be forgiven. For faith to be true, it is not enough to believe in Allah
alone, but it is also necessary to believe in all His messengers.

Those
who do not consider Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah Almighty, to be the last
prophet of Allah Almighty, do not believe in Allah Almighty, because he is the
Messenger of Allah Almighty, the Messenger of Allah Almighty, and the last
prophet. Allah Almighty has testified that you are the Messenger and the Last
of the Prophets.

Therefore,
those who do not believe in the prophethood of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
and the end of prophethood (Seal of the Prophets), deny the testimony of Allah
Almighty Almighty. Whoever denies the word of Allah Almighty is not a believer
in Allah Almighty. Therefore, accepting the religion of the Prophet (peace be
upon him) is a condition of salvation. Non-Muslims will not be saved. Until
they believe in Allah and His last Messenger. Thanks!
