introduced a mobile application 

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has
introduced a mobile application named “Drug Shortage Reporting” for
the first time in the country to address the shortage and unavailability of
medicines. According to the information, through this application, not only
will information be obtained about the shortage of medicines but it will also
help identify which city is experiencing artificial shortages and hoarding.

The application, known as “Drug Shortage
Reporting
,” is kept very simple, and it can be downloaded for free from
the Google Play Store. To file a complaint through this application, there is
no need to create an account. However, complainants are required to provide
their personal information such as mobile number and name. Information such as
the city’s name, the name of the medicine, and its dosage, i.e., the type or
strength of the medicine, will also be required to be provided. 

Through the mentioned application, individuals in various
cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sukkur,
and Jacobabad, can file complaints regarding the shortage of medicines.
Although the application can be downloaded throughout Pakistan, it has not yet
been introduced in all cities. 

In addition to allowing individuals to file complaints,
the application also provides information about drug inspectors in various
cities. However, information about drug inspectors from all cities is not
immediately available. Furthermore, the application offers an option to check
the status of your complaint, which means that after filing a complaint, users
can check its status after a few days.
