What
is Psoriasis?

A
common chronic disease affects the skin. In the severity of the disease, scales
form on the affected areas. The severity of psoriasis decreases in hot weather,
as the skin does not dry out in the heat. In contrast, droughts in winter
increase the severity of the disease.

Our
skin plays an important role in shaping the human body. Human skin consists of
three layers, and the outermost layer is of paramount importance.

Our
skin is made up of many things, including water, proteins, and minerals. We
take special care of our skin to make ourselves beautiful in the eyes of
others. In our society, poor diet and contaminated water cause many skin
diseases. Psoriasis is one of these skin diseases. This disease is centuries
old.

Symptoms
of Psoriasis:

In
this disease, a small part of the skin becomes white and reddish in color.
There is severe discharge at this site, and in winter, this itching becomes
extremely painful. Itching of these skin spots should be avoided, as more
itching can spread them further.

(1)
These spots appear on the body in the form of small rashes, which, due to
further itching, turn into large spots and white reddish sores and bruises.

(2)
Red spots on the skin on which white matter (Secretion of Pus) accumulates to
form white shells.

(3)
Dryness of the skin, cracking and bleeding from wounds from itching.

(4)
Itching, burning, and soreness

(5) Joints
stiffness and swelling

(6)
Pain and bruising in the nails, discoloration, and yellowing.

Psoriasis
(psoriasis) can appear on any part of the body, such as the hands, feet, neck,
behind the ears, on the scalp, even overall body.

Causes
of the disease:

There
are two common causes of psoriasis.

1: Biology,
Human Genetics

2: Immune
System

  • Genetical
    Disease

Psoriasis
is generally considered to be a disease that is passed on from generation to
generation.

Immune
system:

It
can also be caused by a defect in the immune system. Medical science has not
yet fully understood the disease, but medical experts believe that the disease
is related to the immune system’s T cells and white cell type Neuterphylls.

T-cells
live to protect against harmful bacteria and viruses that enter the body. If a
person has the disease, his or her body’s T cells mistakenly attack their healthy
skin cells as ‘harmful cells’. Moreover, as it is necessary to eliminate infection
or to heal a wound and quickly begin to destroy them. Therefore, the immune
system needs to function properly as it protects against bacterial and viral
infections. A chronic disease is not contagious, meaning it is not transmitted
from one person to another.

Different
types of psoriasis:

A: Plaque
psoriasis:

The most common type. In this, the skin becomes dry, red, and rough,
due to which secretion is secreted and accumulates on the skin and peels form.
This causes itchy and painful spots on the skin.

B:
Nail Psoriasis:

In this type of psoriasis, the nails of the hands and feet
become ugly, colorless, yellow, rough, and damaged. Often, as the disease
progresses, the nails begin to break, causing severe pain. This type of
psoriasis is more common in women than in men. This prevents blood from
reaching the nails and weakens the roots of the nails.

C: Head
/ Scalpprosis

Psoriasis
occurs in a specific part of the head or the whole head. It is usually red in
color, surrounded by scales. In some people, it can reach dangerous levels,
causing the hair to fall out.

D: Joint
Psoriasis

Psoriasis
may appear on the skin, but it affects the joints directly. The joints of the
hands and feet, the joints of the toes, the elbows, and the ankles are badly
affected. It is also called “Acropustulosis psoriasis”.

Precautions:

Psoriasis
patients should pay special attention to the cleanliness of their bodies and
skin. It is very important to keep the skin soft. Even at home, it is possible
to get rid of the problem largely.

  • Avoid
    dry soap.
  •  Use Vaseline 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Cotton
should be preferred over woolen cloth.
  • Avoid
    antibacterial drugs and soaps.
  • Sit
in the sun for 10 to 15 minutes daily to avoid arthritis.
  • T,
Tree Oil applying specific tree oil can control itching.
  • Apple
    cider vinegar is an anti-bacterial.
  • Raw
papaya. Ingredients in raw papaya help cure infections.

Diet
Prevention:

  • A
person suffering from psoriasis should consume healthy food as much as
    possible.
  • The
patient should avoid food items such as fried foods, alcohol, and tomatoes.
  • Diet
has nothing to do with psoriasis but a good diet helps reduce the disease.
  • Eat
a diet high in protein such as fish, eggs, milk, yogurt, etc.

fruits should be used as much as possible.

(1) Shampoos that contain ingredients such as
aloe vera can be used to relieve dryness.

(2)
Soaps that contain ingredients such as sodium, glycerin, sulfuric acid, and
methylcellulose can be used to soften the skin. All oils containing Fluinolone
Acetone 0.011 can be used.

(3)
Lotions and oils that contain silicic acid are very useful for the head and
body.

Treatment
of Psoriasis: Basic principles:

The
basic rule for keeping skin healthy is to wash it regularly to keep it clean,
but avoid using dry soap (not without a doctor’s advice) and don’t wash so much
that the skin loses the necessary moisture and grease. Moreover, use as much
moisturizer as possible. Avoid stress as much as possible. Eat a healthy diet
and use plenty of water, which is very important for a patient, and avoid
excessive sunlight. The primary goal of treatment is to slow the rapid growth
of skin cells.

Conclusion:

It
is very important to treat psoriasis on time. It is a chronic disease that can
lead to many other diseases, including obesity, high blood pressure, and kidney
failure, heat in the liver, heart disease, and arthritis. It is very beneficial
to consume more fruits, milk, vegetables, and juices.

Maximize
the use of vegetables and fruits and carrot juice is very useful. All of these
ingredients can help prevent dehydration by compensating for dehydration and
removing heat from the liver.
