Food
safety as a way of life

Foods
can be polluted during any of the production, processing, distribution, storage,
otherwise preparation phases.

Germs
can spread from unclean hands, tools, clothes, otherwise surfaces to food. If
one food, particularly if raw food, comes in contact with additional types of
food or if it remains at room temperature for an extended time, bacteria could
grow quickly besides present enormous health risks. Food safety deeply depends
on the obligation of everyone involved in the food supply chain, from growers as
well as producers to sellers.

On
the other hand, whereas this feature depends on how different experts handle
the food, it is similarly significant for everybody to know how to prepare
their food safely besides hygienically at home. It is a daily assurance we
should never take too lightly.

Food
safety in your homes

Proper
food hygiene is very important while preparing food and the following tips are
particularly important to avoid contamination for your family and yourself:

Cleaning:

·   Wash
your hands with any good soap besides warm water for 20 seconds before and
after you handle food. Dry them with a hand towel or kitchen tissue paper.
·       Take
out your ornaments in advance you handle food.
·    Clean
the area you are working in and the utensils you are using with hot foam-covered
water. Clean up any food trips instantly.
·       Change
your tea towels as well as dishcloths on a regular basis.

Storing
food:

·     Check
labels for recommendations on how to store foodstuffs.
·    Keep
your Refridgerator at 5°C (40°F) or below, as well as your freezer colder than
–18°C to prevent bacteria from growing.
·     Keep
raw meat, poultry, besides seafood separate from other foods in airtight
containers at the bottom of the Refridgerator.
·      Poultry
as well as fish should be cooked or frozen within 2 days, extra meats within
3-5 days.

Conclusion

Food
is a major issue for Third World countries, much remains to be done. Providing
safe and healthy food is a fundamental right of every citizen. Citizens should
receive food under the principles of hygiene. People living below the poverty
line suffer from a lack of attention to food. World Food Safety Day requires us
to have individual and collective responsibilities.

All
these reforms also need to be introduced at the national level. In order to
establish an effective system of safe food throughout the country and to
prevent further loss of human lives due to unhealthy food. The government
should use this day to educate the people about safe food and also to include
the factors related to the food profession in this campaign. The goal of a safe
and healthy diet can only be achieved through joint efforts. This year’s theme
of World Food Safety Day also sends the message that this is a problem for all
of us.

Qur’an Says:

And
to (the people of ) Madyan (Midian), (We sent) their brother Shuaib. He said. “O,
my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. [La ilaha
illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)].” Verily, a clear
proof (sign) from your Lord has come to you; so give full measure and full
weight and wrong not men in their things, and do not do mischief on the earth
after it has been set in order, that will be better for you, if you are
believers. (Quran, Chapter: 7:85).
