Mu’in
al-Din Chishti
At the
beginning of the year 617, A.H. Khwaja sahib visited Dehli for the second time.
The reason was that some official of the Dehli Sultanate had confiscated the
land of a farmer which was his only source of subsistence.
Given
to understand that Khwaja sahib pays special attention to the poor, he went to
him and narrated the story. Khwaja Sahib personally traveled all the way from
Ajmer to Dehli (India) to bring the matter to the notice of the Sultan who
himself went to meet Khwaja Sahib in Dehli and ordered immediate restoration of
the land to the farmer.
