Illinois:
Extensive research in the United States has found that a mere 5% weight loss
can greatly reduce the risk of developing diabetes.

study used health data from approximately 24,000 different ethnic Americans
collected from 2001 to 2016, during two major studies.

study, which found that overweight and obese people had significantly higher
rates of type 2 diabetes, also found that people who lost only 5% lost weight.
Many of them survived diabetes.

study, published online in the latest issue of the Journal of the American
Health Association (JAHA), emphasized the need to adopt healthy foods and
habits but also identified social inequality and racial prejudice as a threat

The impact
of obesity towards DM (diabetes mellitus) in the population remains substantial
