Summary
of Qur’an Chapter 21 The Prophets Surah Al- Anbiya

The
primary purpose of this surah is to confirm the basic beliefs of Islam, i.e.
Tawheed, Prophethood, and the Hereafter, and the objections of the unbelievers
of Makkah on these beliefs have also been answered in this surah. One of the
objections of these people to the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) was that why was someone like us sent as a
prophet (why was a person like us sent as a prophet)?

In response, it has been
said that it was appropriate to send a person as a prophet to humankind. In
this context, many previous prophets mentioned that they were all human. They
taught their respective nations the same beliefs that are the beliefs of
Prophet Muhammad. Because of this text of the Prophets, that many prophets are
mentioned in this surah, this Surah has been named Surah Al-Anbiya.
