In a hadith of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah
be pleased with him, it is said that this Surah was revealed after Surah Namal
(Surah No. 27), and it is known from various traditions that this is the last
Surah that was revealed before the migration to Makkah. Because verse number 85
was revealed at the time when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) had left for Medina for migration.

surah al qasas chapter 28 the narration

The main theme of the surah is to prove
the truth of Prophet Muhammad’s prophethood and his call. In the first 43
verses of the Surah, the details of the early life of Hazrat Musa (peace be
upon him) have been described, which are not described in any other Surah.
After narrating this incident in detail, in verses 44 to 47, Allah has indicated
that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had no means of
knowing these events in such detail. Nevertheless, when you are narrating these
incidents, it becomes very clear that you are receiving revelation from Allah Almighty.

The objections raised by the infidels of Makkah against your Prophethood and
Messengership have been answered in this Surah. and Muhammad has been comforted
in this surah, that those who are stubborn,
are not responsible
for their behavior. Then the disbelievers of Makkah who believed in false gods
have been denied. The great chiefs of Quraysh refused to accept his invitation
because of pride in their wealth.

For their example, in verses 76 to 82, the
incident of Qarun is described, he was the richest person in the time of Prophet
Musa (peace be upon him), but his wealth could not save him from destruction as
a result of pride and stubbornness. It was revealed to him. At the end of the
surah, a promise has been made to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that
even though he is being forced to leave Makkah in a state of destitution. But
Allah will grant you the opportunity to return to Makkah as a conqueror.
